Always get a licensed electrician to do any electrical work. When choosing one, always look for their electrical contractor licence number and confirm that it’s current before agreeing to any work. You can check the status of electrical contractor licence numbers through our online Electrical Licence Search.

Unlicensed electrical work is illegal and dangerous, and we need your help to stop it. If you see any non-compliant electrical work or see any unlicensed electrical work being done or advertised in Queensland–report it here.
